More
about our Bounty 'Celebrate offer'.
Watford,
Hillingdon & Barnet Hospitals are including a voucher brochure in
their pregnancy information packs.
This
set of vouchers allows you to have up to four half hour photographic
sessions (worth £140) at a very special price.
Each voucher includes a FREE 8"x6" print with my compliments
as your local independent photographer.
Voucher 1: Pregnancy -gentle, thoughtful images all
showing off the glow of impending parenthood. If your partner is present
this makes
a great 'first ever' family portrait. Mostly black & white with
some colour shots, even better if you don't mind showing off your bump!
Please wear fitted clothing or borrow some of the fabric wraps we have.
Voucher
2: Newborn - Family group, mum with baby, dad with baby, tiny
hands and feet and rosebud lips!
I always try to do these portaits in black and white as its more flattering
to baby and hides the fact most mums are a bit short on sleep!
Voucher 3: Baby on own - This is the age your babys
really showing its personality.
I'll take photos of them on their tummy pushing up, grabbing their toes
and being cheeky.
The photos taken are similar to the 'New Arrivals Watch-me Grow' plan
first session so we ask you not to use this voucher if you are part
of this Club.
However some parents use the vouchers 1 & 2 and then join 'New Arrivals'.
Voucher
4: Toddling - Watch out! Here they come!
Crawling, starting to stand, this is a great age to catch your babys
developement on camera.
You can join in with the session for an up-to-date family group or just
have baby on his/her own.
As with Voucher3 we ask you not use this voucher if you are already
part of the 'New Arrivals' Club.
Frequently
asked questions
How
long will the shoot last and when can I come?
Each session will usually last a total of one hour and include
your viewing time.
Appointments for 'Celebrate' sessions are available Wednesday - Friday
at no extra costs, Saturday subject to £20 surcharge.
What
if my new baby isn't in a routine and needs a nap or a feed at the time
of the shoot?
No problem. I allow plenty of time for each photo session, so we won't
be clock watching. If your baby is asleep when you arrive we'll have
time to gently wake him or her.
Newborns look particularly lovely when asleep so we might not need to
wake them anyway.
Can
my partner be included in some photos too?
Yes of course. Your pregnancy, newborn and final vouchers all allow
for family groups to be included.
What
happens if my baby is unwell?
You'll spend the day at home cuddling them! We'll rearrange the shoot.
The last thing you want is a memory of how unwell they felt, and I don't
want to make my job difficult!
Spots, scratches and other blemishes however can be vanished away as
required using the latest digital technology.
It's not only the top models that get the benefit of 'airbrushing'!
However we do ask you to let us know that you won't be coming - preferebly
not just 5 minutes
before you were due to arrive!! This way we might be able to let another
client take the appointment.
Can
we have a choice of Black & White as well as colour?
Of course. I shoot everything in colour on the best digital cameras.
These camera files are optimised to produce fantastic black & white
images too.
The pregnancy and newborn voucher sessions allways look fantastic in
B/W
How
do we select the photographs we want?
That's another fun bit. The photographs will be shown on our 50"
Plasma TV so that you can see them clearly.
You will probably love them all so if possible I do prefer that partners
attend together as it's hard for one of you to make the decisions on
your own.
Once you've chosen your favourite images we can then decide how you
would like them presented.
What
if other family members want to buy some photographs?
They're very welcome to come with you to the viewing as I can
accommodate up to six people at a time in my viewing room.
It will take much longer though as everyone has their own opinions and
their own requirements. The better alternative is to arrange a separate
viewing for them.
We
are not very good at making instant decisions - can we have time think
about what we want?
We'll make selecting your favourite images easy, but its best
to choose what you want when you can see the photos in front of you.
Choosing frames and ways of displaying them often take some thinking
about, so before coming to the session it's best to have in mind the
wall
space you have available at home. Also consider other locations you
spend time in, such as your office or holiday home.
You might prefer a collection of images in an album rather than wall
frames, perhaps both.
My product range is totally bespoke so there's a huge choice. I'm really
good at helping you reach your decision, and won't subject you to a
'hard sell'. That's a promise.
If
I really can't finalise my order at the viewing, will the price go up
if I do it a few weeks later?
No. I don't use those sales ploys to pressure you into a decision.
Remember - I don't want you to feel negative about anything here.
However I only keep unordered photos for two weeks then they are deleted
so if you want them, please order them.
Can
we keep a set of proofs?
Sorry, but there aren't any. I hate throwing stuff away, so
don't make prints of any images until they are ordered - thats another
reason we ask you to choose on the day.
How
much can I expect to spend on photographs?
There is no normal amount as each family is different, however,
as a guide expect to want to spend from £95 upwards.
But
I could go into one of the bigger studios in the area and get a framed
photo and shoot for £25 - why are you more expensive?
There's no such thing as a free lunch. And we're actually not
more expensive - we just tell you upfront what the prices are, rather
than giving you the hard sell afterwards.
The prices reflect the quality of the photography, the care and attention
to detail in my products and the services we offer you.
We want you to come back time and time again as your family grows. You
won't do that if you feel that we're not great value for money.
Plus we don't want to keep advertising for new clients or grabbing them
out of supermarkets - that's not our style.
When you receive your photographs we want you to tell all your friends
how wonderful we are!
What
should I bring?
Below are some suggestions on what helps a photo session to flow smoothly
based on my experience of photographing lots of families.
I find it helps if the parents know what to expect. Every family is
unique so use these suggestions as a guideline.
Clothing
for baby - by all means bring a spare outfit. The plainer the better.
Your photos will look lovely if your baby is wearing white or pale colours.
Many of the photographs will look stunning in black & white, and
by minimalising the clothing this creates a style that will bring a
sense of continuity
to all the images especially if they are to go into an album. Do try
to avoid clothing with logos, numbers or writing on,
as this can be distracting in the photographs. Cute hats and sunglasses
make for fun photographs.
Clothing
for you - with very young babies I will ask you to hold or support them
during the shoot. This is the best way I have found of keeping
baby nice and relaxed, so if possible wear a plain top as that way you
are not drawing attension away from the faces.
Many parents like to go for a 'bare skin look', we have towelling wraps
for you to wear if you like the idea of this.
Also your hands may feature in some shots - so girls if you need an
excuse for a manicure this would be it!
Feeds
- please bring one with you even if one is not due. Having your photograph
taken is thirsty work when you are tiny!
I allow plenty of time for your session, so if a feed is needed, or
a nappy change for that matter (and I have a changer & nappy sacks)
we have plenty of time.
ETIQUETTE
(please read carefully)
We like to ensure that every client receives the highest standard of
service in a friendly and courteous atmosphere.
To achieve this we ask our visitors to keep in mind the following:.

a rebooking fee of £25.
For the health and safety of all, your children must remain under your
care and control at all times.
We reserve the right to decline membership to any of our portrait plans.
As
your local Master Photographer I am a member of the Master Photographers
