How long does it take you for the formal photos?
mmm... how many groups do you want photos of?
If you are having your photos at the same venue as the service, then we can start quite quickly (have a few mins
for hello's and hugs first though) Most wedding formal groups take about 20-30 minutes. If we have to travel to another ddress it will be a bit longer as you need to allow for late arrivals, loo
trips and even the lure of the bar...
What happens if we have to change the date of our wedding?
If its a change of date and your new date is clear then there is no problem, however your £250 deposit is non
refundable so if the new date you have chosen is already booked I regret there is nothing to be done.
Cancellations/changes made less than 6 months before your date are liable to pay 50% of the time booked,
cancellations made less than 3 months prior to the date are liable to pay 100% of the time booked.
Can we have photos during the ceremony?
It depends on the registrars and ministersperforming the ceremony but most allow photography as long as no flash is used. We are not allowed to photograph the signing of the
register but a mock book is usually given for photos afterwards.
How long before we see our photos?
Turnaround is usually 2-3 weeks, so hopefully your photos are ready for you just after you get back from
How long does an album take?
If you have chosen to order a wedding album, you will need to let me know your final selection of pictures and
then a PDF of the album will be sent within 3 weeks. If you need to make any changes or tweeks it may take a bit longer but it usually takes about 4 weeks from confirmation of your layout.
Can you retouch photos?
Glad to say that spot won't be there in your photos! I can also whiten teeth, remove creases and make sure Uncle
Fred had his eyes open in that important family group! I do prefer images as natural as possible so try to ensure posing is correct at the start to show off your dress and that eveyone is looking at
me (not the other camera holding guest).
How do I book?
Phone or email me the wedding date so I can check availability, then I can arrange meet you either at over to the
studio or I can come to you. We'll have an informal no obligation chat about your day and work out what package suit you best. If you wish to book, it's a £250 non-refundable deposit to reserve the
What if something goes wrong?
In the 17 years that I have been a photographer nothing major has ever gone wrong (touching wood whilst I type
this). However I am always prepared for trouble! I always have 2 main cameras available plus one backup and loads of batteries, flash cards etc. I also work with other fully qualified photographers
thru the SWPP, who can take my place if I do something stupid like break a leg!
What cameras do you use?
I use digital Canon cameras as feel they give the best skin colour.
I prefer to use a 28-300 zoom lens as I don't have to stop to change lenses thru the day. Nick (my second shooter)
uses a Canon 5DR with a wider angle lens, perfect for scenic groups and social shots.
